We started ESNZ because too many organisations doing vital mahi in their communities were being shut out of government contracting — not for lack of capability, but lack of process and connections.

Our story

ESNZ was founded by people who'd seen the procurement process from both sides — inside government agencies assessing bids, and alongside community organisations trying to write them. We kept seeing the same gap: brilliant, trusted providers with real track records, losing out to organisations that simply knew the process better.

So we built a practice around closing that gap — procurement strategy, tender writing, and contract monitoring, delivered by people who understand both the compliance requirements and the community context behind every bid.

Today we work alongside NGOs, community organisations, and iwi entities across Aotearoa, bringing procurement expertise without losing sight of the people the work is actually for.
